Congratulations to Fionn, Odhran and Bruno from sixth class on their winning performance in the Analog Robotics Competition on Saturday June 18th. The boys were crowned champions after competing against schools from Limerick city and county. Their achievement was down not only to their logical thinking and innovative design but to their outstanding teamwork.
Having secured funding from some local business and a grant from IOP ( Irish Institute of Physics) our IT coordinator , Mrs Tierney, purchased some Lego Spike Kits and these assisted the boys with their preparations.
Mrs Tierney says the boys practiced every Friday after school for a few weeks. They would build cars and race each other but most importantly they learned to share their ideas and knowhow with each other which helped them become a winning team.
Well done boys, the whole school is very proud of your achievement. 🏆🏅
