As part of our continued commitment to gaining our Active Schools flag
6th class boys recently carried out a survey in the school. The purpose of the survey was to find out:
-How many children were in a sports club.
-What types of sports were most popular.
-The reasons why they enjoy being a member of a sports club.
The boys in our school are members of a huge variety of clubs including; St. Patrick’s GAA, Geraldine’s Soccer, Richmond Rugby, Munster Mixed Martial Arts, Fairview Soccer Club, Young Munster Rugby, Southside Boxing Club, Limerick Lyons Basketball Club. It is great to see the boys keeping so active both inside and outside of school.
It is hoped that by conducting this survey that other children will become aware of the Sporting Activities in our area and may be encouraged to join some of them.
