Over the last few weeks some First Class boys have been engaging in Reader’s Theatre entitled “The Chocolate Bunny” - this is such a wonderful literacy initiative which develops reading fluency , dramatic expression , creativity , cooperation and most importantly self confidence . The boys have loved this creative process - from the initial script reading right through to its performance for First and Second classes . The boys have received lovely positive feedback about their performances from their peers and have taken great pride in their achievement.

This morning we had Master Pat Forde from Munster

This morning we had Master Pat Forde from Munster Martial Arts visit to do some classes with the boys. Master Forde introduced the boys to the basics of martial arts. It was a thoroughly enjoyable morning. Thank you Pat.

Our dynamic and very hard working Students’ Council who recently received a Letter of Thanks from an Tánaiste, Mícheál Martin in recognition of the amazing work they did for the #EU50 Celebrations in our school - beautiful artwork, messages of welcome and directing a Q and A session so competently .
Huge thanks to Mrs O’Sullivan for her guidance, expertise and ongoing dedication to the Students’ Council and indeed our school.

Our family reading programme continued yesterday with another really enjoyable session with junior Infants and their parents/aunties/nanas l. Many thanks to all involved.
