It was great to see so many of our 4th, 5th and 6th Class boys playing such great hurling with St. Patrick's in the Gaelic Grounds on Saturday night in the schoolboys display match during the halftime Senior Limerick- Offaly league game. They beat Offaly 2-0!! They were excellently behaved both on and off the pitch and did Scoil Phadraig Naofa Buachailli and themselves proud!
Well Done Boys! No doubt your hurling skills will continue to shine and improve as the Schools' hurling league season gets under way this week!!
Also, in the inaugural and very fitting Niall Crosse Memorial Cup, more than 30 boys participated in the Street Leagues yesterday in St. Patrick's Club. The winning team proudly displayed their very impressive cup and trophies to all the classes to day. |

Lots of chatting about Farms and farm animals was taking place throughout the school in classrooms today.!
Also Seachtain na Gaeilge is in full swing this week with the boys taking great pride in using their native language . The week continues with Trath na gCeist on Wednesday and Rannta le Cheile on Thursday sa Halla so lots of ceol agus craic ahead this week in the leadup to La Fheile Phadraig!!

Good food habits set in early childhood can last a lifetime. Lunches provide around 1/3 of daily nutritional needs, so it's important to put some thought into them. Here are some tips on how to prepare a healthy lunch.
We often end up putting the same thing in a lunchbox every day. Keeping the lunch varied is a good way to enjoy lunch example: Include a variety of foods such as protein, dairy, fruit & vegetables.

The children of Second Class are currently preparing for their First Confessions, which will take place during the week. It is a very special occasion in their lives and we wish them well in their preparations.
